E61 Exchange Freezes - Bug?

I have been using Mail for exchange ever since I have gotten my wonderful E61. The problem I have seems to be intermittent and random. My settings work fine, I am able to sync with my exchange server (mail2web), and all mail, contact and calender works. That part is fine. The problem is that at random point over lets say a 48 hour period the phone will lose its "always on" connection and will not reconnect for a sync unless phone is rebooted. Has thi been documented and has anyone else experienced it. Im running firmware 3, on cingular medianet, using mail2web.
Thx

well is there anyone who can confirm they are maintaining an active connection with cingular and mail2web as their exchange server? If i cannot find an resolution, can someone recommend an alternative exchange or push mail service that will also sync my calender and contacts that maybe would work better for me?

I do not use it with Exchange mail but simlilar/related
issues also occur with IMAP and Blackberry connect email.
Both have been mentioned numerous times in various forums.

With IMAP it goes like this: After the initial connection IMAP push ( implemented with imap IDLE) works fine for a few minutes until the GPRS indicator becomes inactive. Not sure if the network or the phone drops the connection but it doesn't matter. The phone is aware of the drop but perhaps the mailer is not and it makes no attempt to re-establish the connection. I have done packet captures on the server side
and atleast for IMAP I am 100% certain this is not server related. Making push worthless/broken for IMAP on this phone.

If using automatic retrieval every X minutes things work well most of the time but like your Exchange problem on random occassions it just stops ( anywhere from hours to days). When in this state attempts to fetch an email throws an error message about the server being busy ( and it certainly is not). Forcing a disconnect/reconnect from within the menu sometimes fixes it. However sometimes it needs a reboot.

Using Blackberry connect is the same thing. Eventually things just die. Reboot needed.

Also related when email stops fetching..sometimes the Email button stops working. You can get to the program via the navigator but the email key is irresponsive.

I am running the latest firmware/code. These bugs are infuriating. For a phone with the primary purpose of messaging I am surprised there is such little response. As it is now its a very bad showing. This phone is extremely versitile compared to a BB but its very unreliable. We need to make a new sticky thread to get on Nokia's case about this and track it from all angles to get this fixed. Track in excruciating detail the details of the bugs the progress of contacts with nokia: People, phone numbers, email etc.

Ive experienced the same problem with Mail For Exchange and Mail2Web, however, I have noticed that if you just leave it as-is (dont reset phone, dont toy around forcing Mail For Exchange to sync), the phone will manage to sync every few minutes anyways, even if it says "idle" or "connection failed".
