My Motorola MPx200 finally died on me and i've decided to go back to Nokia. As i'm currently in a military camp, camera phones are strictly not allowed, which boils down to 2 great phones, the Nokia E60 and E61 to choose from. I will be using my phone for calls, sms, web browsing, email, MSN, 3g and wifi. I have done a research but there's not much discussed on the E60. Both phones are similar in specification and price wise. I would like to know which is best for me, the E60 or the E61? Anybody please feel free to give your opinions. Thank you!

Well....Would you like a nice, large screen?? How about a qwerty keyboard? These are (I'm assuming, since I've never played with an e60) the deciding factors between the two. All IMO, of course. I LOVE my e61 and would recommend it. But your phone is not my phone.
But, honestly, the keyboard and screen are the only major differences between the two.

The difference in their size doesnt affect their performance right? Like say the E60 and and E61 are equally fast for wifi and emails?

also u may want to search as I remember seeing the E61 not having the "caller id" ability to show the person's name when incoming calls occur. It only shows the person's or contact's number only.. i believe the E62 solves this problem, so that may also be something to look out for in your decision ?

I totally agree with u.

Btw, did u upgrade from a 6681 to an E61?

And no, there arent any caller id problems. Infact, my E61 is the perfect phone for me.

Yep. My 6682 is my backup for when I feel like travelling a bit lighter or may need a camera. They're both fantastic phones, but the qwerty and bigger screen is what makes the e61 my main phone.

Nokia E61 all the way, best messaging and web browsing phone. I switched from E61 to E60 and went back to E61 after 1 day's use. Predictive/t9 sucks for me

E60 has such a better quality screen. The resolution is MUCH higher and it's really evident. I personally like the quality of the screen, and not how large it is.

I love my E60. I didn't get the E61 specifically because the size was just to much for me. E-mailing and IM'ing are no problem for me because my t9 skillz are serious. It all comes down to what you want out of your phone and what you think you are able to deal with. I say, get an E61. Because if you don't like it you can sell it and still have enough to by an E60 if you so choose.

I think i'm now leaning towards the E60... just gotten news that my army camp does not allow PDA phones. The E61 looks like a PDA and i sure don't want to get into security breaches... Anyway i'm glad the E60 is around... Just that it's a candybar and keypad version of the E61 with smaller and higher res screen. Cheers!
