E52 Sucessor?

Any word on the E52 successor? I currently have HTC Magic(froyo 2.2), but want to get away from touch screens, and have a phone that's actually a phone.
Any other suggestions for the phone that's similar to E52?

I would hate to spend $250 on E52 and have new phone come out right after that.

So what are my alternatives in candy bars style from Nokia similar to E52(or others)?
I dont care much about 3g US support, GSM is enough.

Seems like noone is makings candy bar higher end phones anymore(non touch).

Two phones announced this year are in my sights to replace my E51:

1. Nokia C3-01 Touch and Type data sheet
This is a Symbian S40 phone but has many features I need and an interesting touch interface. It even has b/g/n WiFi. Maybe it is all the phone I need. It is quad band GSM, so should work in the US even if you have to buy a grey import, but I'm not sure how compatible the data frequencies are with carriers such as AT&T.

2. Nokia C5-00 specifications
This is a Symbian S60 phone, announced some time ago and now somewhat 'overdue' (?) in comparison to other recent announcements. Very strange: this phone has no WiFi, particularly odd when you compare it to the C3-01 above.

The small candy bar smart phone with key input is a unique product to Nokia. It makes huge sense, even in the United States, if your 'other handheld' is, say, an iPod Touch or even an iPad (I know friends with iPhones and iPads who say that the iPad is now languishing because it is not always with them and their iPhone is). So what do Nokia do with this completely unique hold on a sector of the US phone market? They ignore it and don't release models. Meanwhile they try and compete with the iPhone...

Its odd that the C3 has wifi but is missing GPS. And the C5 has GPS but is missing wifi. Just another example of Nokia forcing you to make choices. The C3 touch and type is a cool phone, I wonder if they will ever do something like this with S60 v3?

Well there is a rumor of a proto S^3 "touch and type" of sorts in the E Series. I.e. a E72ish monoblock qwerty with TS and S^3.

I hope not. I've been extremely pleased with my two E52. For those of us who don't want a QWERTY or Touch Screen device, or a phone which weighs too much, or a phone which won't fit into a Polo shirt pocket, it doesn't get much better than the E52.

My only complaint is a software issue. When you opt out of "auto-rotate", it forces you to view images in Landscape mode!

Bring on the E53 ....... just boost the camera to 5 or 8 megapixel, and have a dual SIM card feature!
