E50 joystick

Hey all E50 users. I just got mine yesterday and I love it! However, one thing I am disappointed with is the joystick. I thought having a joystick would be easier than a D-pad. However, I've noticed it's too easy to push down and not easy enough in the 4 directions - especially upwards. Many times I've accidentally pushed in when I meant to go up.

Is this a normal issue with the E50 or do I have a sticky unit? And does it loosen up over time?
 
I dont have any problems with my joystick, but then again i am coming from a 6230b and that does not have a joystick, more of a d-pad type operation. But no i dont have any problem, it works really well for me.
 
Thanks for the quick reply. Maybe the joystick just needs some time to loosen up... My last phone was a Moto, so it too had a D-pad - that's why I thought the joystick would be even better.
