DYNO Numbers for Baggers???

Yes, but it'd add another $700+ to my budget. If I get the right map for the cam, I'm in business. Unfortunately, I may have to wait.

'03 Screaming Eagle Road King, S&S 570 cams, .030 cometic head gasket, SE air cleaner, Rinehart True Duals, tuned with SERT by an HD Dealer. 100hp and 108 Torque. Just about the same as Gasman, but I had more mods. I was disappointed in the tune as I had pinging I wanted to get rid of, and he didn't get rid of it.
Since that time I purchased a TwinScan II+ and retuned it myself. Set all the VE's correctly and then changed the timing map to a map for the SE258 cams which more closely matched my cam than the stock map he used. That advanced the timing in the lower rpm ranges quite a bit and got rid of a lot of the pinging. Then I recorded with the SERT, the places that it was retarding the timing, which was all in the upper rpm ranges, and made corrections to that. Eventually got rid of all the pinging and the bike runs excellent. Don't know what the dyno figures would be now, but I assume at least as good as I started with and hopefully much better.
A factory trained tuner certainly wasn't too good with mine. I certainly don't have much confidence in the local tuners if I can improve on it with a TwinScan II+ and some time. And I have no training at all.

Got mine back from the SERT tune and was VERY pleased. 77hp and 94tq. Apparently the Road Rage was a good choice. I'll post the dyno sheet when I get the scanner working.

Well, the original owner said, after he had the work done on the bike (last year), new S&S124, Baker 6-speed od tranny, Rinehart Ture Dual's and a good tune, it was 131RWHP. I have not verified that myself yet and since the guy was a power junkie and 80 years old, I see no reason why he'd lie? But, the butt dyno tell me, she's a Freight Train. I will have my own dyno run soon, just to make sure she is in fact, tuned good. No problems so far, just hangin on & enjoying the ride

on a break in SERT Map....

Just had the SERT added and dyno'd yesterday. Bike would ping before the tune and really put out the heat...pinging is gone and heat is reduced.

I watch the dyno runs and am a little confused that my stage 1 download (first dyno run.... looked like it was on the rich side?) doesn;t seem to make sense, anyway the bike runs cooler and the pinging is gone.

Here are the dyno runs.....the 1st is with the Stage 1 download only (with SE AC and SE Slip-ons)
The second is the run with SERT installed and tuned.

Numbers (beforeSERT with stage 1 download) 69.42 HP
81.21 Torque

After SERT and Tune 74.87 HP
84.93 Torque

Let me know what you guys think..
