Dynamic Input Area digitizer problem

Has anyone else had a problem with the DIA? I am unable to calibrate it with the digitizer. My stylus "clicks" about 1/16 inch to 1/8 inch above where the stylus touches the screen, making the keyboard a challenge to use and rendering the lower screen icons useless when the screen is extended. Palm support was no help.

I assume your T3 is about 6 months old? I am biginning to think we are all fated to this occurence about that time. See my thread "6 days without my Palm so far. " It turned into 6 plus weeks and they ended up sending me a different ( I assume refurbished) Palm. I'd use the $40.00 advance return option.

I can vouch for the $40 advance return option, although my heart was in my mouth until a) I saw the pda I received was undamaged, and b) I had confirmation that mine had made it back to them.

The fact that I had to give credit card details as 'security' against me hanging onto both was a little disconcerting as well.

Good luck!

I had the same problem with my T3. Its called "linearity problem". If you do a hard reset and still experience the same problem, then your unit needs repair. It should be covered by the warranty.

We're fortunate to have very excellent PalmOne Customer Service here in Asia. My unit was replaced within two days (and it was even shipped from Singapore to the Philippines).

My trouble also happened after six months. Is this really a T3 destiny? I hope not because my replacement will be out of warranty after another six months.

Regards.
