I have 'blonde' highlights in my naturally fairly dark brown hair, but I don't think I really like it - I think it looks a bit too light for me. If I dye it brown over it (the closest I could get to my natural colour, probably slightly lighter), am I likely to have any problems? I'm expecting it to still have lighter and darker bits, but less extreme. I'm worried it'd turn ginger or green?!
Should I just wash it a good few times with regular (not colour) shampoo to see if it fades a bit first? I have some intense conditioner for it either way, and a leave in. What do you reckon?
