I am posting in 2 different sections, hoping for an answer.
I have Bright house cable and a new magnavox dvd recorder/vhs recorder and a Toshiba big screen (2004), I can't seem to hook this all up properly, I can play dvd's and vhs's but everything I record is black, but it is recording. The dvd rcorder makes a menu.
I hope there is a genius who can understand what I'm about to write.
The cable from the wall goes to a splitter (I needed a booster so the splitter) The cable goes from the splitter to the DVR box and from the splitter to the TV ant2, (I also have empty ant1 and out). On the TV I have 2 sets red/yel/white in the IN, one set goes to the DVR outTV and 1 set ges to the dvd/vhs combo OUT.
My dvd/vhs has no place to hook cable but it has the red/green/blue hook up. I hooked the red/blu/green into the TV IN and also in the only place you can put it in the dvd/vhs. That didn't work.
Help!! I'm not even sure if this combo will work with my cable. They make mention of an external tuner, is the my cable box or do i have to buy something else?
Forgot to say that a dvr box is included in the mix.
