After using my beloved Panasonic DMR-EH75V successfully for years, DVDs recorded on it started skipping (or hiccuping) after playing half-way or so on other DVD players. I sent it to Panasonic for repair and they replaced the DVD recorder. Worked great for almost two years and then, same problem. I love this machine so much, I just bought another on eBay (reportedly it had less than 5 hrs total use). Whoa! Same skipping! I'm using recommended DVD-R discs and tried several brands. I'm at my wit's end! I'm using 16x speed disks (machine doesn't indicate speed but says 16x is ok). Should I use 8x? 4x? Anyone else have/solve a similar problem?
BTW: the unit doesn't allow adjustment to speed of recording. It's either an unspecified "High Speed" or a real time speed (1hr=1hr).
