I just recently brought the Planet Earth series and I would like to back up the DVDs onto my mac so I can watch it when I am out of town. (Like in AVI files). I have no intention to burn them whatsoever, but I got a program called MacTheRipper to rip the DVDs. Now is legal or illegal? If it is illegal, how will they find me, know that I broke the law, etc.
