Duragesic after 3 years

I suffer from a rare condition which one of many problems is I suffer from Daily Magraines, If you look at my profile it will tell you my story

My question here is about The Duragesic Patches I have been on Duragesic for over 3 years started on 25 now on 100s for over 2 years
Just recently around 7 weeks ago I started feeling very ill almost like a nasty flu bug, just wore out tired etc

I came to notice one morning I woke and I was feeling better and found the Duragesic had fell off my arm so I put another on and about 7 hours later started feeling bad again as the day progressed got worse went to bed and woke, then it started all over again sick all the time

I came to realize that it was the patches making me feel like this
Janssen was taken over by PriCara and they started making the Mylar type Patches no gel as all medication was part of the adhesive I read
The patches only stayed on for a day or a day and a half then they would fall off and the adhesive would be gone and the patches felt like a piece of thin wax paper No sticky feeling to them at all.
So I would put another on and 12 to 36 hours later the patch falls off and again no adhesive.
I am a small man but thought maybe the little I do sweat may cause these patches to fall off but not sure. but then thought why am I feeling so bad wearing the patches I have been on them for over 3 years and never felt like this on them.

I am now weaning myself off themas I just cant handle feeling so sick and living with daily Migraines is bad enough besides living with these flu like feeling like I am going to die symptoms. even wearing smaller parts of these patches make me ill. but have to go thru this and the WD so I can get off these patches
I am on other pain meds and have been on them longer then the Patches
so the WD from the patches is bad but its not like if i had nothing to help, plus having a harder time preventing the Intractable and Cluster headaches and the Thunder Clap head aches along with the Parymoxil head pains because of not being able to wear the patches as I once did
I know its going to be a long hard WD from these patches, but cant stand the ill feeling from them feeling sicker then I ever have felt when I wear them and it started after the PriCara take over the Janssen never did this to me
Why after over 3 years am I getting sick off them
Could the Patches be bad something different from the janssen doing this
anyone else have this happen with the PriCara

Something is not right
I am a rare headache patient my profile tells most of it
I Just cant seem to make sense out of whats going on with these patches
Any info would be appreciated
Thanks

there are MANY different people in the pain management forum down in the 'P" section here who also use these patches as well? i most certainly would ask around in THAT particular forum about your specific issues. there can be many many differences in any given meds we take or as in your case, the fent patches that are totally dependant upon how/what the manufacturers "decide" to even put in as far as even the "active ingredient", to the 'make up" of the meds delivery system. there is a very wide variability with some manus to another when you just get into the generics with ANY med out there. they can actually legally place only 80 percent of the 'active med' in ANY given generic and still can say its equal when it is way far from it? its what the FDA actually 'allows" and seems to think is just fine, despite people having some really horrific reactions to having so much less of a particular med than what their body had already been used to, esp going from any brand down to any given generic one? pretty sick but they do it.

but the pain forum really IS a great one here and where you can obtain a ton of info on other peoples "trials' with certain manus patches too. good luck with this and sorry you have to even deal with the same ugly migranes i have since i was 13 and nothing invented yet back then to even begin to abort one of those hellish nightmares.
