Dune: Extended Edition?

Does any one know if we will be getting the, Dune: Extended Edition (region 1) on region 2?

This version is about 40 minuets longer than any of the current R2 versions.

If you mean the excruciating Alan Smithee version which is sometimes called the director's cut (and run) you're not missing anything.

i got this by mistake, when i asked for it for christmas one year, when i should have got the proper film version (stupid mother :doh: ) .....

so they went back the to shop (w**lw**ths BTW), and got the perfect storm instead (wich also BTW, i have yet to watch!)

just get the 2disk special edition instead
