If there's already a Thread on this I'm sorry, I've searched but I couldn't find it.

I used to have this Film on VHS but sadly like most of the other VHS' it broke so the last time I saw this I was 14:(.

However, 8 years later and a few days ago in fact I saw this being sold on DVD and decided to buy it for my brother's Birthday. We then sat down and watched this together and OMG I actually forgot how funny it really was:D!

Harry & Lloyd are just 2 loveble Characters played brilliantly by both Jeff Daniels & Jim Carrey and any "Road Movie" I've seen before doesn't even come close, this is just the king of "Road Movies" IMHO:D. And as for the toilet humour now I admit I one of those people who LOATHE those type of jokes but you know somthing? Even the toilet humour was bloody funny:D!

All I'll say is that "Dumb & Dumber" is definately up there as one of the greatest Comedies of all time IMHO:). 10/10 from me personally:cool:.




So what about you guys? Anybody else love this Movie:)?

Yep, one of my all time favorite comedies.

It's also got a great soundtrack.
 
Funnily enough I only watched this a few weeks back after not seeing it for about 5 years.

My stand out favourite part is:

Mock (Yeah!)
Ing (Yeah!)
Bird (Yeah!)
Yeah (Yeah!)

Oh and when Lloyd sells the dead bird to that blind kid and he sits there stroking it's head repeating "pretty bird". :p
 
Aww I remember first seeing this at a friend's Birthday sleepover, we were laughing so hard.

Now, I'm not a fan at all of Jim Carrey's full on comedic roles, I like him in more serious roles like Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, adored him in this.
 
This is just about the only Jim Carrey comedy, after Ace Ventura, that I really like.

I also think Jeff Daniels was funnier in almost every scene ;)
 
Like I said Paddy, I bought this for my brother's Birthday so I personally see no harm buying the "Uncut" Version for myself.

So yes I think I will buy that Version. Thanks for letting me know about it Paddy:).



TV: "Coming up the shocking Story of how a Con Artist sold a dead Bird to a Blind Boy."

Blind Boy: ":cry:I just thought he was a quiet Bird:cry:!"

Now I know shouldn't laugh:obut:D...



I've noticed how people seem to prefer one over the other and to be completly honest I must be the only one actually really likes them both equally, they both had their really brilliant moments not to mention the fantastic chemistry both Jim Carrey & Jeff Daniels had together but then that's my opinion:).
 
Dumb and Dumberer? AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Terrible, terrible, terrible film. It's beyond me who would have funded something like that.
 
Digging the love for this tremendous film. It must be one of my favorite comedies of all time, and a great road trip film to boot. Love this bit -

Harry: Petey? You sold my dead bird to a blind kid? Lloyd! Petey didn't even have a head!
Lloyd: Harry, I took care of it...

I REFUSE to watch that so called "Prequel":mad:don't want my wonderful memories of this perfection to be ruined.

But if your daughter likes it albowski then fair enough, her opinion at the end of the day:).
 
Humour, romance and even a bit of tragedy too. This film's got it all. I absolutely love it, it's my all time favourite ever film and always has been ever since I first saw it about 13/14 years ago now. One of Carrey's career bests. The sequel should just never have happened, simple as that!

Brilliant stuff!
