Due to cancer i have a long gap in my job history?

Sticky situation as some employers may be put off due to potential recurrence. Maybe you could explain you were incapacitated and decided to use that time to study the field you were in before to gain new skills.
 
Hello i am currently back in the job market after a long battle with Cancer for 3 years, the question i have is that there is a long gap in my job history now and im not sure how to explian that on my resume. any advice will be helpful.
