Ducati swag in Italy?

For those of you who have been to Italy...

I'm heading to Italy in June. Was wondering where the hot spots might be to snag some, if possible, unique Ducati swag while over there...I'm gonna be in Bologna for the Ducati factory tour if this helps in narrowing things a bit...

Cheers

So you went to the tour...how long did it take to do the whole thing (factory/museum)?

The wife and I were trying to plan our train rides today...We are gonna just train up from Rome and train back the same day and are trying to pick some times for our reservation etc...

Cheers

We took the train. Bought a map, walked 2 miles to the Best Western. Hotel clerk called Ducati for us to set up our tour for the next after noon. He also made arrangements for us to rent a car to drive out to Ferrari in the morning. Of course I got lost coming back from Maranello, so we was 15 min. late for the factory tour. Security guard called the Museum Curator. I think to tell him fat Americans were late, Curator came and got us, gave us a one on one tour.
See my photo gallery. It was way cool.
Hotel clerk was glad to see we made it back. We stayed an extra day. We LOVE Bologna.

Hey Dbone
I stayed in a small penzione in the middle of town, didn't book just took a chance but there was plenty around. Better check first though.

The GF and i rented a moped and zoomed around Bologna and out to the factory. Its an easy ride and heaps of fun scraping the pipes on the moped going around the round-abouts. Ok small thing amuse small minds! The moped was great as we were able to easily scoot up and down back streets having a great look around and parking was never an issue.

The museo is great and all in all with the tour i spent about two hours there. Just incase i never missed anything i went back the next day to do the whole thing again, which the GF couldn't for the life of her understand why..

I assume the best place to get things would be at the factory store.

Dbone, where abouts are you in Canada?
I've been looking for the jacket below and going through hell to get it, but I don't think it'll be available in North America. If it's there, I'd be more the grateful if you brought me back one! I will pay you + some!
Will you have internet access while out there?

As already mentioned, the factory store is actually down the block from the tour entrance...
Few tips (I used to work/live in the Bologna area, as well as the wife/my trip to the factory last fall).:

Personally, I wouldnt stay in Bologna...not that its a bad place, but I have my favorite little bed & breakfast in a little town called Rubiera (closer to the Lamborghini and Ferrari factories). Place is called Arnarldos. very old school and quaint.

Easy drive into Modena and Bologna from there.

I made our factory tour reservations months in advance, actually, online. real easy. Due to our travel plans and other commitments (I used to work at Lambo) we toured the factory on a Saturday...only bummer was that they weren't running the line!

If in the area, you could also sign up for a factory tour of Lamborghini, in S'ant Agata (Just east of Modena).

Good times!

I was in Italy last summer and the wife and I are planning to go again next year.. The thing that stung the most is that our train on the way to Naples stopped in Bologna but I wasnt able to go see the Ducati museum and HQ. I did go to Ducati Roma though and picked up an awesome DUCATI ROMA tshirt.. If you're in Rome, check out the shop. Very close to the Vatican. It is pretty sweet. Have fun over there.

Yeah, we won't be staying in Bologna...Going up by train early in the morning from Rome, going on the tour, walking around Bologna in the afternoon, and then heading back to Rome by train that evening. The Mediterranean cruise we are going on is leaving out of Rome.

We will be going on the Ducati tour on a Thurday so I suspect the line will be running...
