Ducati service? The clutch locks up?

I put a deposit on a '03 Monster 620ie. I told a guy I work with this and he said, well, the service is going to kill you because their clutches "lock up". I've never heard this before, what the hell is he talking about?

First mod is going to be an exposed clutch basket cover! BRACKA BRACKA BRACKA BRACKA BRACKA BRACKA BRACKA
