FYI..... My friend and i have 4 Ducati's between the 2 of us. A 02 Monster Dark, 09 Monster 696, 08 848,08 1098. The 848 has been in the shop for 2 weeks for what started as an insatallation of Termi's and frame sliders. A leak was found on the left side of the motor and it was determined that the casing was cracked and needed replacement. That was 14 day's ago and now is now having tranny problems that it didnt have before and is therefore still in the shop. The 1098 has a clutch issue as well as a stall issue and false neutral issue and has been sitting in the shop unlooked at for 7 day's. I have been told that it won't be even looked at until Saturday Sept. 13. Do you have these kind of problems when placing your Duc in the shop? If so let me know. [email protected]

I took my bike in to have service done on it and to get a broken gear shifter replaced. The bike has been in there for 14 days so far, no gear shifter to be seen. They did the oil change/service and even told me about a recall part (rear sprocket) that needed to be replaced. I went in yesterday to ask WTF and they told me the part STILL hasn't come in. I told them I'd ride w/o the part and I was told the recall part hasn't even been put on yet, but they had it for over a week.....yeahhh. This is in Northern VA tho...

I use Advanced Motorsports in DFW. You should bring your bikes down here. By far the BEST shop that I have ever been to.

I bought my 1098 in OKC and have had good luck with their service so far. Sorry you're having trouble. Have they given you any reasonalbe explanations?

I think it has something to do with Ducati shutting down in August and parts or w/e are backordered. I talked to the service guys at the dealership and finally got a date on my part. Lol...it would have been in the shop for another 2 weeks, totalling a month if I hadn't gotten it out already.

Yes they do. My 1098s had a radiator leak, they told me the replacement had been ordered. After 4 month and a number of calls, I contacted DNA, they said Ducati of Ok had not filed a warranty claim and no part had shipped. I explained all the trouble and the new radiator was in OKC in a couple of days.

AMS is great, but they jack up their prices for service. I paid over $300 for the first 600 mile service and I think they quoted 650-700 for the 7500 mile.
