Ducati Hypermotard 796 as First Bike?

I'm looking at purchasing my first "real" motorcycle before this next summer and want to know what y'all think of the Hypermotard 796 as a choice for my first bike. While I know having driven dirt bikes, atv's, and scooters of all shapes and forms doesn't truly prepare me at all for the power of a street bike, I always run into the problem of finding a bike that fits my height comfortably. I'm 6' 3" and like the tall ride height of the Hypermotard. Let me know what your thoughts are on that bike in particular and any alternates you would suggest over it that would accommodate a taller rider. Thanks.

Well I'm saying Yes, please do it and make sure you film it and post it on YouTube. A cheap thrill of mine is to watch and analyze Wrecks. One guy in particular was on his buddy"s super bike, revving the none sense out of it. Even when he squeezed the clutch and dropped into first he still didn't have any appendage anywhere near either brake. Never saw a body twirl like that. I know you wouldn't do this because you state your experience with like vehicles, however, I put to you to consider something similar were to happen to you at speed.

I never experienced most of the hazards on the street, in the dirt.
