Ducati Coin

I don't know why, I just equate the excitement about those coins with "40-year-old Virgin"-esque children's toys (think Star Trek figures, with unblemished boxes and conventions, etc).

Now, try not to get too upset. We are not all that different. I have a modest collection of (1) minichamps 1:6 Xaus 998.

I do wish I had a whole lot more of the minichamps bikes, but they cost almost as much as the real thing.

My ms. pelling comes from using modern vernacular to convey a subtle critique of coin collections.

But, the good news is that your coin is probably worth more than actual US mint. Hang on to that puppy, friend!

I can see where you might look at it as the 40 year old virgin.....thats pretty funny.

At first I took you for the dip shit that likes to criticize for little to no reason. I see that is not the case....sorry for the assumption. Some times its hard to read into text messeges.

I do have to say however that I don't carry the coin in my pocket everywhere I go. I can also assure you, when i sell my bike the coin will not be going with it.

OK so I just looked up what minichamps are and I have to tell you that those fall perfectly under 40 year old virgin.....even more so then the coins. Do you have plastic cases to put them in and keep them in prefect condition?? (unblemished boxes)

DAMN they are not cheap!!! How many do you have? Are they metal?? If they are I might have to get one my self....they look pretty cool. Wish they had an M900 in the collection......I didn't see any. Granted I only looked at one site. I would also like a 1098 in my stable and on the mantle.

Anyway, on that note GO 40 YEAR OLD VIRGINS!!!!

Hahaha...don't worry, if I had that coin, I'd be all over it, too. And, I don't get offended at too much these days, especially Internet posts.

About the Minichamps, they are the coolest 40-Year-Old-Virgin toys around. Now, I'm a bit more practical, so the one that I do have does not get babied.

Minichamps are truly quality pieces and the finest miniatures out there. Like I wrote before, I wasn't initially too interested in them, but after getting the 1:6 (big) size Ducati, it was true 40-Year-Old-Virgin love.

Here is a link to ebay with a bunch of them for sale:http://shop.ebay.com/items/_W0QQ_nkwZminichampsQ20ducatiQQ_armrsZ1QQ_fromZR9QQ_mdoZQQ_sopZ10

Now, there are guys out there that have massive collections of these things, with crystal box cases and all. I have only the one bike and another fake-minichamps monster that a friend gave me for my birthday.

Here is a link to a British company that sells every variety of these things:

Bookmark these in case you want to buy in the future...

Personally, I want the MH900e (don't exist yet) and the Paul Smart and old Mike Hailwood bike the most. I'm getting the 999r street version for Christmas.

Now, where did I put my lightsaber???

The detail is SICK!!! I want to collect them all. I found the M900 Dark that I want.

I agree the Paul Smart and Mike Hailwood would be sweet. The only problem is I would rather dump the money into my real bike. Considering I can mod my real bike for eternity I don't think I will ever own one of these but I might just have to put a small savings aside.

I secretly have a huge HE-MAN Collection from my childhood.

Pretty sure that might be kinda ghey! But I also know for a fact that HE-MAN is worth some bank roll.

OK BACK TO THE ORIGINAL POST>>>>SHOW US THE LAST TWO COINS.......THERE HAS TO BE TWO MORE 40 YEAR OLD VIRGINS OUT THERE SOME PLACE THAT HAVE THE REMAINING COINS!!!

SHOW US YER BOOTY......(by booty I mean silver).....ARRRRGH!!!!!!

Hey Purespeed,
Those Mini Champs are pretty cool!! I'm not really into that thing but I might have to get one if they come out with a red 848.
It's amazing how much detail they can put into those things!!

Aren't they?! My little 1:6 scale has working suspension, too!

I'm confident that they will produce a 1098-series bikes, including the 848. Personally, I like the street versions of the bikes, but those are much harder to come by. Also, they stopped producing the 1:6 scale and mostly produce the 1:12.

That's unfortunate as the 1:6 scales are bad to the bone.

You can spend hours staring at the mind-numbing varieties (don't ask me how I know).

Check out this guy's collection:

Holy crap....that yellow 998 is so detailed it almost looks like the real thing. Crazy.....thats without a doubt that dudes favorite hobby in the whole wide world.....I am guessing he is single.....

For those of you (PURSPEED) who want to be cool and ghey like the rest of us with coins.....here you go. This is a hell of a deal as I am sure the coin is worth far more then $150. I emailed him and asked him to send me a pic and seee which one he has.
