ducati 999 any good?

hi everyone, i have been thinking into getting a 999 and have seen one on a 54 plate that i might go to see tommorow. it might sound a stupid question but are they good reliable bikes as i dont kow much about the dukes, also is there anything i should look out for... thanks alot..
 
I love mine, you can search through here for any known issues and you'll probably learn a ton.

No issues on mine except the 54mm Termi burning through the fairing which can be remedied with a spacer from Motowheels.

I'd get at least an '05 because I think they're nicer looking with the black/red frame and boxy/black swingarm and black wheels.
