Ducati 620, good bike? i want to hear about it.?

I got my license back in october with msf. I have been riding a friends gs500 for a while now and am killing for a bike of my own. For some reason, the ducati just keeps growing on me, its rugged looks just seem to catch me more and more everytime i look at one. The other day i had one go thundering by me and well, im even more captivated, the sound just grabbed me instantly . Is this a reasonable bike for my level of riding? It is quite comfortable when i sat on one (of course noone lets you test ride anywhere) the ergo is reasonable, and the hp is lower end. Also, how about reliability? I dont like top speed however i love the twisties, although ive read some places this is not the best bike for twisties, perhaps im mistaken? Tell me a little about it, and i look forward to hearing all about it, this bike just gets sexier by the minute thanks, Dave.

Check it, Ducati is a sexy bike. But i am gonna break your heart and i am truley sorry. They suck. they are expensive to maintain and all the parts are the same way. They break down more so than others and require extra skill to keep them running. Do yourself a favor and stick with a japanese bike. You said that you enjoy the twistys so why not go for a gsxr 600or something of that caliber. Don't buy into that harley like glamour, buy a bike that will last.

Nick is correct. I agree with him. You can't beat the Suzuki for performance and price or speed, they still make one of the fastest bikes in the world. Hayabusa.

If you buy an Itialian Bike it will cost 3 times as much to maintain, unless you live in Europe.

Ducati Monster is the only Ducati to own in my opinion, because they have some resale value, but the others don't hold there value as good.

If you only care about the sound, then buy a Ducati, if money is not a factor, but just remember you will loose money when selling it , unless you buy a used one from someone who's lost there job or something like that.
