Casual Catastrophe

I installed two 12" Polk Audio MM series subs in my brothers Jeep Wrangler. They are getting 900 watts rms and when you are sitting in the Jeep it vibrates your entire body and makes your hair stand up and move but when you are outside the vehicle you can't even really feel it! It's a soft top Jeep and I simply can't fathom how it's containing the pressure and sound waves all inside the vehicle like that.. any explanation?
