Hi,
I know by asking these questions I have far too much time on my hanRAB but here goes!!!
Does anyone know how they decide if a DTS track should be on a DVD of a film? i know not everyone's 5.1 amp has DTS, just having Dolby 5.1 but if the film originally had the DTS track on it in the cinema why can't they just put it on the DVD. For example, The Wild, at the end of the credits, it had the DTS logo but it wasn't an option on the DVD. I know that other Disny films like the Lion King had a DTS. DOes it cost a lot more to do or is it so they can make a special edition for muppets like me who would get both?
Also on the sam theme how do they decide that say Slepper Cell gets made in DTS but Lost only in Dolby? or West Wing gets made in Digital Pro Logic .
Thanks in advance to anyone who knows, and to everone reading my post, I hope and pray you are all well and you have a great weekend
