Dry Nose in winter

I have year-round allergies and go through my share of tissues every day. Every winter, it gets worse because my nose gets really really dry with the change in indoor conditions. I do use a humidifier, saline nose sprays and stay hydrated, but that only goes so far. I always end up with my nose bleeding some every winter. A couple weeks ago, I started using a nasal saline gel a couple times a day to help with prolonged moisturization of my nasal passage. I had a couple recommended to me and so far, I'm really finding that using one is making a difference. The box says it can be used every 4-6 hours, but I've just been using it in the morning and evening so far.

I don't know if any of you have the same problem, but I thought I'd share my success with others who might not have tried this strategy. I'd tried many things over the years, but never regular use of a nasal gel.

Happy winter,

I use Ayr and Xlear as my daily nasal saline sprays. I agree they are helpful as well.

I live in an area with very low humidity so the extra staying power of the gel is a plus.

While it's humid here, I have gas heat which is very drying so the Ayr really helps at bedtime!
