Drug testing at preliminary hearing?

I was arrested about 4 months ago on drug-related (felony) charges. Although, I haven't had a preliminary hearing as of yet. It is scheduled for July 20th. Can the court legally order a drug test at the time of the preliminary hearing? I've done research but have yet to find any suggestions that this will happen (or has ever happened). The case falls under Tennessee jurisdiction. Fortunately, I know that one of the felony charges cannot be proven, because it never happened. I digress; what is the probability that this will happen? (professional answers only, please.)
Edit: One. I am a medical major. Don't lie to me with that "THC can cause tumors and memory loss" crap. It's false and there are no medical claims whatsoever that THC is harmful to the body besides occasionally causing bronchitis or pneumonia. Cigarettes are much, much more harmful on the body. Even alcohol is more harmful. Christ, I'd go as far to say as a common canned coke in aluminum housing is worse for you. DIGRESS. I do have a lawyer, a very good one. He wasn't cheap, either. Thank you for the information though. I have been clean for longer than I can remember, but I was just curious. As for the charges, well I caught the heat. I'm not even sure who did the crime. I hope my life gets better, but it's not me who can do the work. All I have to do now is sit back and see how far the court will take false charges. I refuse to plead guilty for crimes I did not commit. They didn't arrest the roommate when things were found in common areas (ALL OF THE DRUG PARA AND "DRUGS"). I'm not e
Not even convinced that the jars of sand my old artsy roommate left around are even drugs. But the police say they might be. We'll see what TBI has to say. IMATEK, thanks for the pro information. I'm highly aware there are typos in my above edit, buttt I'm sleepy so. Again, thanks.

Having worked in a drug treatment center I have accompanied many clients to court. If you are on bond/bail you can be yanked for a UA at any time since abstinence is a bond condition. While prelims are not a usual place for testing judges have leeway. The way that it is brought about is that as they move to offer pleas they can impose those "subject to". Do you have an attorney? An attorney (non PD) usually will make the prelim a perfunctory (quick and easy) procedure.

The power of drug court (or drug related criminal procedure) is alternative sentencing and getting people into the system with testing and counseling as opposed to jail in most jurisdictions.

Yes they can order a drug test at any time.Get a court appointed attorney if you cannot afford one.The reason drugs are legal or illegal is because any drug can damage your body or help it.When persons are under the influence they may cause others or their self to die or have actions that are what we call psychotic which means out of touch with reality. Even alcohol is a depressant drug.Any excuse will do to get high.THC in pot causes brain tumors and cancer.Go to NA or AA meetings and get a sponsor because judges look favorably on this improvement in behavior. As to my credentials-I worked as a medical officer in a jail.I do not condemn or judge you. I pray you get your life better so you can do better.I saw so much sadness while there-like one woman who killed her husband while they were high. She cried every day and got a life sentence.I am old now and do not remember names or faces.
