After hitting the puddle the car slowed down the puddle was huge so I down shifted and gunned it out about a half min later the check engine light start blinking not staying lit blinking. The car then started to sputter at low rpms so I pulled over at a gas station and shut the car down. It started then stalled out/no power steering no nothing just stalled out dead. I figured I should take off the air filter and just let it suck in air and it started after that but very very ruff start and it was puttering at low rpms I had to hold the clutch in and keep gassing it to keep her from stalling. I drove it about 5 miles or so home at each stop sign I had to rev it up to keep the rpms high. Needless to say I got it home stuck it in the garage hood is off fan is on it. I checked a hour or so ago it started up fine and idled fine at low rpms but I have not taken.

Will it be ok to take it out for a ride to auto zone and have a check done on it. I can work on cars but I am theee worst at diagnosing problems.

Its a 99 Civic.
