Dropped phone in water-removed water indicator stickers. Can I return?

Dropped my phone in water. Do not have the money to get another one. I removed all water indicator stickers from my phone. What would happen if i took the phone back to Verizon?

I dropped my phone in the water. I was not sure if I could just early terminate my account with Verizon and have my mom sign up for one-she doesn't have a verizon account yet. That way I would be able to get a new phone. I would then pay the bill for it so I could get a new phone. Can I do that?

If you removed the water indicator verizon will suspect something and not just give you a new phone, especially if it doesn't work properly.

You can't early terminate your account without paying an early termination fee. More than likely you will have to pay full price for a new phone if you don't have insurance on the phone you dropped in water.

VZW techs will check for the water-damage stickers. When they don't find them, they will know something is up. How old is the phone? Did you purchase the warranty package for your phone thru Asurion?

It would be cheaper for me to early terminate my account than it would be for me to buy a new phone. I could early terminate my account for $150 and then go get a phone from another carrier for free. To replace my phone, I would be spending over $300 bucks

If you remove your water damage indicator stickers that voids the warranty on the phone period!!!

Went to Verizon. Told them what happened-they gave me a new one for $50..it was a good day

So then you had insurance on it? $50 is the deductible for asurian.
