If you want to read the entire thing, go ahead here's a summary:
I was in the hospital, dropped a thermometer (mercury), panicked knowing mercury is dangerous, fled out of the room. Got a rash for about a minute, then it disappeared. Later i found out that a rash is a symptom of mercury poisoning...
Do I have mercury poisoning? What are the symptoms? How soon can you start seeing the symptoms? Help
So i was in the hospital yesterday (asthma related)... then the doctor had to see if I had a temperature. He had to check my pulse, oxygen level, and take blood samples and all that stuff, and since i'm afraid of needles, i panicked. (we then decided to take blood samples later) Anyway, because i panicked i moved around and when the doctor wanted to check the thermometer he couldn't find it.. we searched all over, in my shirt, floor, sheets, everything but couldn't find it. He looked kind of worried and he said that we should watch out because it was a mercury thermometer. Then we had to take a chest xray so I went into the room and I had to put this sort of dress-y kind of thing on... so i took off my shirt and all of sudden the thermometer fell. I panicked knowing that mercury is dangerous, so i stuffed my clothes on and fled the room. I don't know if it broke or what happened. I just freaked out and ran. What i do know is that i didn't stay in the room so long, about 20 seconds. Now when I came out of the room, my arm felt itchy and there was this tiny rash. but 1 minute later it was gone....
So yea... I know I should go to the doctor, but I'm not going unless i'm seriously sick :/
