Hey has anyone on here seen the movie Drop Dead Fred? im just watching it on the SCI Fi channel, i have seen it loaRAB of times before, its such a funny movie , i might get it on DVD tomorrow. It has Rik Mayall and Phoebe Cates in it. :D :eek:
 
I love it aswell seen it LOARAB of times im just hopeing i can find it on DVD tomorrow its one of them films you can watch over and over again and never get bored of it. Every time i watch it it makes me laugh :D
 
My friend got it ages ago on DVD, I didn't even know it was on DVD. Loved it when I was younger, so it may be one I'll add to my collection.

I'm almost sure that when it came out is was a PG, but the DVD is 12. Wonder why it was upgraded...?

I love it. My and my lil sis used to watch it over and over again when we were little. Its so funny. I always loved the bit when he sliRAB down the banister and is like "OW!! who put that there?"
 
I like his sayings "its the mega beast" and when fred goes "hes just a total and utter girl" :D . The Dog poo bit makes me laugh its gross haha :D .

It was actually a 15 when it came out but then was downgraded to a 12 when it came out on DVD. Dunno why though. I guess it's because this was made before most of the gross out films and now it seems quite tame.
 
That and it was also made before the 12 certificate was introduced for home videos, so anything with material slightly more adult than a PG would allow automatically got a 15. But you are correct, it was a 12 when in the cinemas.

I thought it was a PG as Sci-Fi listed it as a PG when showing it yesterday, my bad.

Does anyone know where i can get this movie on DVD easy? i tried everywhere and dont give a web site as i dont order things from the net. be gratefull if you can help :D
 
Really you saw it for just 4, wow im gona get myself down to HMV that is one movie worth having . i loved the movie as kid aswell and still do its great :D

As drop dead fred would say " she got cob webs" haha :D
 
Loved this when I was a kid, and I suspect i'd enjoy it just as much now, as i'd appreciate Phoebe even more, and I can't even imagine how much Mayall slipped by my fragile young mind, that i'd pick up on now. :D
 
The movie is being shown alot on the sci fi channel at moment it seems to be on atleast every 2 weeks. Mayall seems great in everything hes in. they should do a Drop Dead Fred 2 :D
 
Im SO glad everyone here enjoyed it just as much as me! I thought you lot would slate it!

My fave bit is where they are having dinnder and fred makes her throw her food around.

A genuineley silly movie... I feel a new thread coming on...
