Droid or Iphone...which is better?

Overall, the droid. The iphone has a lot of cool things, but the lack of ability to download content or run simultaneous apps is what really tips the scales to the droid. Droid also has a navigation system native to it, which is pretty cool, but certainly not a dealbreaker (although it is REALLY REALLY cool and works better than most navigation systems I've seen)
 
So my mom is unsure as to which phone to get us both. I've heard that the Droid is acutally a much better phone than the Iphone and that the latter is kind of overrated...could anyone who owns one or the other or at least has any idea as to which one is really better give me their opinion?
