I purchased a ringtone through the verizon wireless media store, and it sent it via text message as usual. But, when I hit menu, there is no option to save it to the phone--and I got other advice like press and hold on the text part and you'll get an option to save it as a ringtone. All I get is Save, Call, Save to Contacts, Send SMS, Forward, View Message Details, Delete Message
