Droid Eris free Verizon message help?

Ok so everytime I send a message that is more than 2 messages to a phone other than verizon, i get this free verizon message saying that it will be sent as plain text. how do i stop that? ive tried texting back stop. Im using my droid eris and i want to see if u guys know so i dont have to call
