Driving without insurance. What will happen to my car?

I was in a car accident where I hit another person. We were both fine. After the accident, the front of my car needed some things replaced and his bumper had a small crack and was falling off. The police officer took our licenses and proof of insurance for information purposes. I wasn't given a ticket.

However, my insurance company contacted me after the accident notifying my dad that the amount he paid for the insurance was returned to him a few months ago. (He was unaware until then because he did not see the letter until after the accident.) We're still not sure why the money was returned.

The guy must have tried to have my insurance pay for the damages because he contacted my dad saying he wanted to take me to court.

What will happen to my car? Will it be impounded? I live in Washington State.

I think this website might help, but I'm having a hard time understanding what they mean. http://public.findlaw.com/traffic-ticket-violation-law/state-traffic-law/washington-traffic-law.html

Please and thank you for answers!
Thank you for answers. I do have insurance now.

The car is under my dad's name.

That is definitely not my website. I just added it because it was the most helpful website relating to my question, but I'm having a hard time understanding what they mean.
