Driving me mad. Why are there so many "dating" rules for girls but not for guys ?

It just hit me when I was asking for advice on my recent question. Click on my name and click on my questions if you want to know why its driving me wild. But when I asked for advice from my friends I know in person. I get so many rules. I mostly hear it from my older friends the ones in their late 20s im 19 by the way. Its like do not get his number let him get yours. Do not ask a man out. Let him text or call you first. Act busy. Do not ask him for his number you will look easy. Wait for him to ask you to hang out or you will look easy. I mean jesus christ.and im not even dating this guy I just want to get to know him as a friend. But people keep assuming on this web site and giving me rules as if we are. Please read the question under my questions just click my name if you want to know what im talking about it quarts off with the words monster mess
