driving law when already 18?

i have a quetion im 18..been 18 since july i dont have a permit or liscense but i want to get asap..i live in indiana but i hered since im 18 i can go to the BMV take the written test then take a driving test if pass both i can get my liscence of coure there is money involed but is this right if not please let me know
 
That sounds about right. Most places that I know of you can get your license at 18 without taking a driving school. Just take the written test, and then the driving test. Don't expect to get any sympathy from your insurance company, you will pay through the nose for insurance without a driving school.
