Here's an odd one because when I searched, I found the opposite problem of what I'm experiencing. When I select drive mode, it acts like it tries to connect, but the pda just briefly freezes and turns off. I have a SanDisk 512mb card in there, and removing that doesn't hurt or help the situation. Hot sync works fine each time everytime. I've already been to the palm website and tried doing 4000 soft resets, disconnecting and reconnecting the pda to my computer, and pushing the favorites button to make sure nothing else is using the cable at that time. It worked 24 hours ago when I moved my wifes resume to the internal drive using drive mode. No other changes since then. Free space anywhere is by far not an issue. Now I can start up the palmone file transfer from my pc and move things to my palm(never tried that before tonight to see if it worked), but it's when I tell it to turn on drive mode that everything goes down the drain. It has not been dropped or exposed to any strange temperatures/conditions since last night when drive mode worked.
