What is the best way to get the drive axle into the transmission of a 2000 Chevy caviler? I can't decide how to get it in and past the sealing ring without damaging the boot like with a screw driver and hammer.
it slides in as far as the sealing ring then stops and requires a significant amount of force to lock into the transmission. The book I have says to find a groove use a screwdriver to force it in, but there are no grooves to use.
