Drinking law in the states?

i know you have to be 21 or older to purchase alcohol in the states,But i heard some states such as Florida and Louisiana if your 18 and older your allowed to drink in your home or in some1 Else's home legally just not to buy the booze or drink in the street or bar,Is this true?Any other info u can give me about this law or if its even true or not! thanks
