Drinking in public ticket - given by a bike cop - NJ..what to do?

I was given a drinking in public violation by a rookie bike cop...In belmar NJ about 1am. He gave me a written citation. On the back it says a $280.00 fine.

What should I do?

should i pay the fine and thats it? Or Im thinking take my chance and by showing up to court and pleading not guilty?

He did say not to go to court so maybe he wont show?

Other reasons is could the charge be reduced a fair amount?
or substitue fine for community service?

i have a clean record, it was only a small shooter, he has no real proof it was me and im above 21.

well i never been in nj .. you can try to go to court and get community services that be good idea because the cop alway lie and they do always show up in court 95 percent of the time and 5 percent of the cops dont go to court... just say you want to do community services...and you are broke, you can make small payments a month...and no community services just small payments.
see why that cop showed up theres are snitches they call the cop thats how you got busted...just plea guilty...get it over with..
