exactly HOW was this diagnosis made? hopefully by a good MRI? if not, i would seriously ask for one to be done from that c spine down thru the rest of your spinal just to fully check out ALL areas of your spinal since you DID also mention some low back pain too? if you DO indeed have some 'pinched nerves" within that T spine area, there is 'something' that IS simply impacting them which can in most cases just very clearly be seen upon the MRI being done? certain findings one can simply just 'have' within that spinal area, some may have to have surgical intervention just to really "relieve/release" the nerves and some can be treated more conservatively, but either way, YOU simply DO NEED to actually know for certain exactly WHAT this doc feels IS 'pinched nerves" at all? you also need to know just exactly what level of the T spine has the 'pinched' nerves at too, and of course by "what" exactly.
just exactly what types of testing have you had when you mentioned you had "all testing" done? what were the types of tests and on what areas of your body were they actually done on? some tests done not in the area of impact simply wont show much while others simply make the problem areas very clearly seen?
you just need this area fully MRIed if this dx came from your doc in ANY other way BUT with a good MRI being done. its just if he ONLY gave you this Dx without using at the very least a standard MRI to even really "see" into that area of your T spine? it IS only his 'best guess/impression" here and not actually a very solid finding upon what is actually 'seen" going on in any real deeper scan? and of course, YOUR ongoing symptoms and pain. did they EVER actually check out your rotator cuff area within the shoulder on that side? believe me, depending upon what muscle, tendons, and ligaments can be torn in there, it can create some pretty insane levels of pain too right in the areas you described? just one other possible here if this has not been ruled out?
just want to make certain that the Dx you just got simply IS by doing the right type of test on you to really 'see it' in there and not what is basically a "guess" by a doc, thats all. believe me, when it comes to all spinal, a good MRI really does matter ALOT vs what any docs possible 'impressions" simply can be? real 'proof' is what will give YOU a true solid Dx.
