Dragon Age: Origins: Summoning the third quest.?

I am doing the circle's quest in the library and I am on the third summoning

Touch the Summoning Font. DONE
Touch Elvorn’s Grande Bestiary. DONE
Touch the Common Table Carving Spot. DOESNT SEEM TO WORK.
Touch the Spiritorum Etherialis. DOESNT WORK.

When I touch those two they don't go all blue, nothing happens at all.
why?
