Dragon Age Origins: Romancing Too Early?

So I'm real early on in the game, right in the camp after my group leaves Lothering. I buy a gift from the dwarf guy and his son to give to Alistair, and his approval goes up by a massive 50+. Then I go to Redcliffe Village, and right then and there we have the kiss scene. I'm barely 3-4 hours into the game and I'm already romancing Alistair? Will this ruin the rest of the story?
I mean will it change my future conversations with Alistair too much?
