I had 2 MRI's done in Novemeber it showed bulging discs in like 6 loactions, and several other things. my lower back hurts all the time and with sitting its worse and now I have tingling, prickling sensastions on the inner side of my right leg thru the knee, and down both buttocks. the neuro said it was only arthisits and sent me to have physical therapy but that hasn't helped, do I just deal with that its arthistis or do I call an make a appointment and go back and see the neuro, or try to complete the therapy and go from there. I think it is more than arthisitis as I have artisthis in my wrist and its not like this, any input? thanks, Karen

Go to another doctor. They can have an EMG and nerve control test ordered if the MRI isn't showing anything. Nurabness should be taken seriously...it can cause permanent damage.

I had the worst case scenario for a ruptured disc according to two surgeons and was only in moderate pain (according to my pain scale and tolerance level). One of the docs told me that he saw some people who had much less serious cases who were in far more obvious pain than I was, and because the MRI didn't show the seriousness of the situation, they didnt get approved for surgery and are sent through PT. I guess my point is is that you need some medical documentation of what is going on so find a doctor that will send you for an EMG or a CT myelogram and confirm what the issue is.

Definitely give the doctor a call back and if he refuses to help you then don't give up and go see another neurosurgeon or spinal surgeon for a second opinion. Do not suffer in silence. Good luck.
