DP Neoprene Seat for 1098

I haven't installed mine yet. The instructions show pulling the seat back and than having to glue it back down.
Where exactly are you talking to protect the neoprene? The front near the tank?

Glue? Do you have the neoprene seat with the 2 holes all the way in the back, right on top of where the 2 seat screws are located?

No glue is involved. Just put the seat in the normal way as with the stock seat, insert the allen key through the hole, place the hex seat screw on the tip of the protruding allen key, and carefully insert the screw into the tab and screw in. It helps to do this with lots of light.
If you do not want to cut or tear the fragile neoprene around the hole, get a tape (masking, scotch, anything) to wrap the allen key and only leave enough to be able to tighten the seat screw. This way the tape will be rubbing against the neoprene not bare metal with edges which the allen key has.
Phew!

Where did you guys purchase the seat from and how much? Does it have the ducati performance logo on the seat? I found one at commonwealth motorcycles for $186. Is this a good deal? It has the logo on the seat which is the only thing I dont like.

I have the DP seat on my bike and have done for some time now you will find the seat wears really well I havn't had any issues at all .

Don't use the two holes to remove the bolts as you may tear the neoprene as someone else mentioned just pull the neoprene back and remove the bolts that way.

So I am thinking of ordering one...is it really worth the money or should I put $200 worth of additional CF fiber on the bike? Is it durable for daily riding?

HELP!
