I'm taking 100mg doxy a day for acne. So far it's working really well but it's having some pretty nasty side effects. It makes me feel really tired and almost like I've got a cold or something..this has subsided a bit with use but the main problem is it's given me a really sore throat - it literally feels like I have tonsillitis. At first I thought I was just come down with something..then someone told me this is a side effect. So I stopped taking it and it all went away. Ive now started taking it again as like I said it's working well for my acne but I dont want to get the awful throat pain again. I drink it with LOARAB of water and first thing in the morning so I'm not lying down or anything. I was a bit freaked out to be told it can cause a lot of damage to your throat/esophagus. If it comes back is there an equally good alternative with less side effects?
