downloaded sony vegas 10, it expired, can i just redownload it?

so i downloaded sony vegas 10 and it expired. now i'm redownloading it and it says that it can't connect to the internet for registration after the installation.

is it also like adobe products that once you download it you can't just redownload it again?
also, if i download other versions of it, will it work?
