downloaded a song but it wont play in windows media player?

the song downloaded as an .rar file which is not supported by windows media player is there anyway that I can reformat the file to make it compatable the song is by a portuguese artisit Iran Costa the song is O Benfica vai Pegar can anyone help me I am trying to get this song for a cd i am making for my husbands birthday which is tomorrow
