download_snd.txt - 8900 help please!!!

Okay, I'm getting a bit irritated with my phone and I'm sure there is a simple solution and I hope someone here can help. I searched for an answer but can't seem to find what I need to do.

I've used a usb cable and bitpim to upload an mp3 ringtone I created to my 8900. It uploaded fine, but I cannot figure out how to update the download_snd.txt file that will (I hope) make my phone recognize the new ringtone.

I've downloaded a program called ringtonetool v1.1 but cannot get it to install, it keeps giving me an error. I read somewhere that this program will do what I'm asking about.

Can someone help me out?

i used brewsky and it works fine but it changes the sounds on my phone! i have NO idea why it does that, i think i am using bresky right but idk somone help me too :)
