and would this be a good downhill bike
or a piece of junk Micargi 26'' FTR Downhill MTR Mountain Bike
would a hardtail bike be good for A BEgginer downhill rider with a small budget

try get one with rear and front suspension if riding on downhill dirt tracks i use my appolo fs.26 for downhill its got a really soft suspension and forks

plz dont use a hardtail im begging you youll be bumping up and down all over the place

Not unless you want to actually ride it....NEVER buy any full suspension bike for less than $900 and that especially means a DH bike. If you had any idea what this bike youre looking at is made of then you would pass on it immediately http://www.bikeberry.com/26-39-39-micargi-ftr.html it is all aluminum alloy which means its probably about 45+ lbs and NOT a real DH bike . A real DH bike actually has a fork on it that would cost about 2X the price of this entire bike and that is JUST the fork! See here: http://www.performancebike.com/bikes/Product_10052_10551_1061216_-1_400308_400001_400311 this is a REAL DH bike!
That bike shaped object you are looking at WILL get you hurt when it falls apart on you if you take it DH. you can do dh on just about any bike you want but a hardtail will beat you to death. Until you can resolve your budget crisis then I suggest you stick to singletrack. That Mongoose I linked too is the bare minimum I would ever consider for a DH bike too!
