My dove has a what looks like a bed sore on his chest. Recently his foot was bothering him so he laid his chest on his perch frequently. I believe he got this sore from the constant pressure. Now he keeps picking at it. What can I do to stop him from picking at it??? I am disinfecting it with peroxide and Betadine. Then I put Neosporin on it. It formed a scab but he recently pulled it off! Now I'm starting from scratch again. How do I stop him from disturbing it so it can heal?
